-
Are my donations tax-deductible?
The funds received by Hope for Africa are channeled to our partner, Alliance Africa. Because Alliance Africa has 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, all donations are tax-exempt in the United States. Therefore, generous donations should be made out to Alliance Africa, and you will receive a receipt to use when filing your taxes
-
How do I know that my donation is actually going to help someone in need?
Hope for Africa encourages a personal relationship with our donors and those that receive the funds we raise. We work on a personal level with both Alliance Africa and FINIDP, the two organizations that receive the majority of our funds. For the past three summers, HFA members have visited FINIDP in Uganda to ensure that our supporters' donations are being used efficiently and responsibly. We are dedicated to providing you with the utmost confidence that your donation will be used in a manner that fully satisfies your expectations.
